I FINALLY got my big girl camera back from getting repairs and it didn't cost us our whole tax return ;) Seriosuly though, I was dreading having to buy a whole new body. Nothing major was wrong with it-- just a few loose screws which was causing it to act weird. Or not at all basically. So happy I got it back when I did because girlfriend's birthday is SO SOON and obviously needed pictures taken.
Aubrey is such a delight, always courtesy laughing if she hears us laugh and giving the best neck hugs. She will come running towards you and wrap those little arms around your neck and squeeze and I just die. So stinking' sweet.
Her birthday is just t w o days away and a few days ago we did pictures near the forest, cake smashed all in about fifteen minutes because it was chilly. I whipped up this floral crown and little clip for Rae to wear and I am obsessed. Flowers are my love language.
Now that Aubrey tries to run off every chance she gets, Rae's gotten real good at "hey go grab your sister" and she runs and picks her up. Sometimes Aubrey's all like, "this-is-the-best-thing-ever" and other times she cries because she's like, "let-go-of-me-I-want-to-play-in-the-dirt"
Regardless, it's blowing my mind that I have a three year old and almost one year old. I'm also super jealous of their hair color. Mine is boring super dark brown and they have these really great highlights.
Rae's been up and down the past few weeks. Okay, she's basically a rollercoaster of emotions on the regular but what three year old isn't? I've been REALLY trying to communicate better with her. Trying to understand and make her tell me why she doesn't like chicken (when it's the same chicken she ate the night before?!). Some times it really works for me to let her express her feelings but other times she just whines about something so small that sending her to her room is the only option for her to snap out of her funk. She's my little mini-me and its equally amazing and frustrating sometimes ;) I think we're all ready for spring to be here so we can get out more!
This weekend I had an anniversary photoshoot near Mt. Hood that was just too good. I question my capabilities with photography daily. There's so much fear about failing, but God's been working on my heart and I am just so ecstatic to see where this year takes me.
and lastly a very happy birthday to my favorite person; the one who keeps my toes warm, makes the best cups of coffee and always lets me sleep in every chance he can. There's no one I'd rather do life with.
