A Very Merry Tipton Christmas

Just a few days after Christmas and Target is already putting out Valentine's stuff.. what!? This year we celebrated Christmas not only as a family of four, but my mom was also in town. It's been four or five years since I've been with her on Christmas so it was super special.

The days leading up to Christmas there was sugar cookie baking, gifting presents to our neighbors, the mailman and non stop chatter about Santa bringing Rae a blue helmet to ride her motorcycle. We shuffled out the door just in time to make it to church on Christmas eve and then hurried both girls to bed when we got home because we still had a few presents to wrap and to put together Rae's bike.

The girls got to open a present together ( a book; Olive the other reindeer--so cute!) and then we made some Gluwein and put Christmas Vacation on while we finished wrapping presents.

6:00 came quick and thankfully I prepared this amazing french toast bake the night before. Rae was THRILLED to see her "motorcycle".. and by thrilled I really mean she was kinda pissed because I put her baby gate up in the middle of the night so she was not happy right away. oops.

but then she noticed her bike and that we finally got to open presents!

The living room floor was covered in play food, Rae rode her bike indoors all day, we ate non stop and made a yummy blueberry apple pie. Its a few days past Christmas and were still living in that same scene.

Since then Aubrey has came down with an AWFUL cold and on top of that she's teething so were all team no sleep over here. It's really unusual for me to want to take Christmas stuff down earlier than the New Year, but staying inside and all the sickies lingering I just want to clean and declutter the whole house. We'll be enjoying the rest of 2015 and my mom's visit before she flys back to Florida on NYE, hope you all have a fabulous week!
