candy-coma.

So, I had to make handsome take all the candy out of the house this morning. literally made him take all of it away because I ate way, WAY too many baby ruth's.. and butterfingers.. and skittles. BUT we had a great halloween evening.

I'm so happy with how our little red riding hood costumes turned out. Stefan loves his beard beanie thing.. wears it all the time and I just picked up this granny nightgown at goodwill for a few dollars. I made Rae's dress which is a much more complicated task than I though would be, but it fit and I'm so happy I made it work. I was this close to buying her one on IG for almost $40 and this cost me around $10. I also made my wolf mask which Rae makes me put on at random times of the day.

I almost thought we weren't going to even be able to trick or treat because it started to rain a bit, but it let up and we were able to go to a few houses. Rae was happy to be in her wagon and didn't quite understand why we were going door to door, but every time someone put candy in her bag she'd say "more, more!" We did less than ten houses and called it a night to head back home and pass out candy to our measly three trick or treaters... which is why the TWO bags of candy I bought were so tempting all weekend.

It was a perfect first time experience for the little and now we're all ready to get our Thanksgiving decor out and even MORE excited for Christmas (still too early?)...

p.s those slippers are from Target and super cozy for only $7 I believe.

  1. What a fun Halloween!! We had a lot less trick-or-treators, too! It must have been because it was a Friday...but I didn't mind having chocolate for breakfast all weekend! :)

  2. Aww! Sounds like such a fun Halloween!! We only went to 10 houses too and the amount of Candy Scarlett got was ridiculous! We had to help her out a little bit with eating it, too ;) Then of course my dog took care of most of it while we went out yesterday morning.... I wasn't impressed but he's still alive so I guess all is well.
