Memorial day weekend is a time for us to reflect on all tho who gave the ultimate sacrifice with an unselfish heart. Everyday I am so thankful for them and their families. I am so blessed to be able to spend my weekend with my Airman, Rae and my mom. Really though, shouldn't every week be like this week? Work three days and off four? Yes. We loved having our handsome home for so long and I especially loved being able to stay in bed a little longer.
Saturday we spent the day at Trillium Lake and ooo and awww'd at how completely gorgeous Mt. Hood is up close.
Rae throughoughly enjoyed her new ride. She pointed out all the ducks and happily ate her cranberries and cheddar bunnies along the way. We're already planning our next trip with the dogs, camping, the canoe and our Eno hammocks!
Sunday morning was for the pups: dog parkin' it
Raelyn loves her lola and I love that she's still here with us.
When did my baby start looking no so much like a baby? My heart is so full.
We had some time to kill before our reservations so we hung out at the park.
& to top off our Sunday night we ate at Portland City Grill. 30 stories up with the prettiest views of the city. My huckleberry mojito was delicious and so was the sushi. Next visit will be at night because I can only imagine how beautiful it is with the city lit up.
Happy Memorial Day! Home of the free, because of the brave.
