Packing up

Well, we have an empty house.
Please forgive me for the lack of blogging this is going to happen in the next few weeks. If you haven't already caught on, handsome retrained for a new job in the Air Force and we're relocating to Oregon. This is my first PCS (permanent change of station) and his second. Prior to living in NC, he lived in Germany where I just came to visit for a few months because I was finishing up Ultrasound school. Growing up military I had moved several times before we called Florida home. There's definitely struggles from having to move every few years, but the experiences you get from it is so much more. I would have never thought we would live in Oregon, but after doing a TON of research we are really excited to start our lives there for the next couple years.

So the movers came, packed up all our things except for Rae's crib and some of our clothes and the next time we'll see our things is when we finally get to Oregon. Rae was EXHAUSTED (so we're we) and because they were in and out of her room I couldn't lay her down. Best $60 I spent was on this Ergo. She LOVES this thing and so do I.

Five days until we hit the road and to say that I am NOT excited about this drive is an understatement. I don't think anyone would enjoy a 43 hour drive.. I may question my sanity by the end of the trip. And Rae.. haha girlfriend already hates her carseat. There's two things I can promise you though, we will have LOTS of snacks and baby signing time just might be on repeat.

    1. I'm pretty sure I was more tired than she was. I wish someone would carry me around in a pouch so I could sleep LOL

  2. Glad to see I'm not the only one stressing this PCS season. I'll be in your shoes in about a month. Any helpful tips for another newbie?
