If you've been on Pinterest, you've seen flower crowns. Mainly in weddings and fun photo shoots. I love the whimsical look of it and how earthy it can be. While I was washing dishes I noticed our rose bush was starting to bloom. I'll have to remember to take a picture once it does because it's beautiful. So many rose buds are peeking out right now and I bet tomorrow morning we'll have a ton that have opened up.
Back to the crown.
Once we get to Oregon I really want to scope out a nice area and take some spring family pictures. I'm crossing my fingers for this place (swoon!) or maybe on the coast.. anyway.. I want Rae and I to wear some flower crowns. I snipped some quick rose buds from out back and practiced my skills. I wish I would've thought to take some pictures of the process, but I was working fast.. nap times go quick ;)
All I really did was cut three separate stems off the bush, used some floral wire and green duct tape that handsome had lying around (thanks pumpkin!) assembled it into a little crown and ta-da!
My plan was for Rae to wear it and I'd take her out front and attempt to get a few pictures. Haha.. I must have forgotten that this girl can't be stopped. Miss Rae won't sit still for more than two minutes let alone keep regular head bands in her hair. As soon as I put it on her she grabbed it by the flower and threw it on the ground. I'm honestly surprised she didn't try and eat it :)
So guess who got to rock it instead?
Ohhh yeah. It was actually really cute and now I'm even more excited for spring pictures! Too bad the rest of our flowers won't bloom until after we leave otherwise I would be making crowns in my spare time :) Cheers to the weekend!
